The Media Maven – Alicia Maxey Greene
Alicia Maxey Greene is a veteran in media relations, events and journalism. She is a persuasive and creative publicist with a proven track record of drawing positive, important coverage for clients and employers. Her background includes education, entertainment, law enforcement, governmental and nonprofit communications; program management, and writing. She is skilled in generating top-tier national and local media coverage, building press and business contacts, planning events, developing press materials and marketing. Alicia has worked on campaigns for the National Urban League annual conferences, Martin L. King III/Realizing the Dream, Inc., Ariel-Schwab Black Investor Summit at NASDAQ and a national book tour for a New York Times best-selling author, among other projects. She has participated in PR campaigns for Buzz Marketing Group and the Oracle Group International. Most recently, she is handling PR/Branding for Mr. Cory’s Cookies. Alicia held several press secretary positions with the Manhattan District Attorney’s Office as Director of Public Information, New York City Department of Education Office of Communications & Media Relations as Senior Writer /Strategist, New York State Comptroller’s Office as Deputy Press Secretary and Catalyst, Inc. as Director of Public Affairs, all of which has shaped her into a skilled operative with valued insight in media relations and journalism. She has received awards for numerous front-page stories during her decade in newspaper reporting at The Journal News (Westchester County, NY), The Post-Standard (Syracuse Newspapers), The Virginian-Pilot and The News-Times (Danbury, CT).
